Don't be misled on other knock off filters ESPECIALLY over a lesser price. Some manufacturers and dealers are selling filters that have 25% less material on the filter elements! Unless you're paying 25% less for the filter and want to replace it 25% earlier, only then you would be getting what your paying for, so at least you know. This is information that manufacturers and dealers don't want you to know. Just because the filter you are looking to replace is the same size that others sell, doesn't mean the filtera are the same quality. We only sell the replacement filters with the same specs as the factory original filter. HAPPY SHOPPING!!
How do I properly clean my cartridges and when?
Great Question! It is time to clean the filters when you notice a decrease in the pressure from your wall returns, or when the pressure in your filter tank increases by 8 psi from when the filter was newly installed, or 8 psi over your "True Normal Operating Pressure". True Normal Operating Pressure is when the filters are brand new or just cleaned and you have all of your return lines open to the pool, and the suction line before the pump is also in a center position. Remember your number on your filter pressure gauge and clean the cartridges 8 psi over that number. Example; True Normal Operating Pressure is 10psi then you would clean or replace your filters at 18psi. In order to clean the filter, first remove it from its canister and use a garden hose to dislodge any debris between the pleats. Soak the filter in commercially prepared filter cleaner like Matrix Pool Solutions Cartridge Filter Cleaner, or spray with the same to remove organic material and oils. Thoroughly rinse the cartridge with fresh water and reinstall it into the canister. Be sure to follow manufacturer directions for installing cartridges in the filter. DO NOT use a high-pressure car wash wand, a stiff brush or acid wash to clean the filter cartridges as these methods can damage the filter media. Replace the cartridges within 1.5-2 years, as the filters will not be filtering down to the proper micron level. This will cause you to spend more money on chemicals to keep your pool blue and clear. We also sell tools that attach to your garden hose that will dramatically reduce the time it takes to clean the cartridges and make them last longer! Hope this helps!!! CHECK THEM OUT!
